I know very often people fall out with family and there are few things more common than the family feud, but it still doesn’t make it right.
How many family feuds could easily be ended but stay ‘open’ because of stubbornness and pride. I heard it said once that ‘you are a long time dead’ and one of the saddest stories I hear is a feud that outlasted a lifetime.
People say that we can pick our friends but we can’t pick our family, well if we can’t learn to get along with our family (even at least diplomatically) then the chances of meaningful relationships outside of this circle diminishes.
I know there is often a very one sided story to a family feud, anyone with a brain can see that when a truly awkward person causes trouble in a family group, but what I am talking about here is the general rule that family is the centre of life and always should be.
Any person who goes out of their way to deliberately break up a family group really should hang their head in shame. Read is Britain really broken?
